[Hope looks stunned.

He's just witnessed his little Surskit who was working so hard at training turn into this weird moth thing. He blinks with a smile on his face before turning the camera to the Masquerain flying around his head.]

I don't really know what happened. One minute we were training and then suddenly he went all white and changed into this thing.

[The Masquerain starts flapping, seemingly annoyed at being called a 'thing'. Hope blinks at him before laughing. That was definitely his Surskit.]

Lightning! Ven! See?

[He grins showing it again.]

It was kind of a shock when I wasn't expecting it.

[He smiles. But there is a distinct notice of the Charizard, and the smaller dragons.]

Your pokémon look like dragons. That's really cool!

Yeah, most of them do. Somehow I ended up with about a hundred dragons and dinosaurs.

[One hundred is... a huge exaggeration, and there's a bit of sarcasm in his tone, but---

...give him a sec. That Dratini's roaring and getting a little abusive.]

Okay, Slash. Give him another icy wind.

[There's some yowling off camera before his Weavile hops in and uses just a tiny bit of ice to chill him off.]

Huh. I kind of have a swatch of many colours going on.

[He chuckles.]

I've got an Absol, Masquerain and a Hoppip. [He smiles. ... He stares at the camera for a moment. ... Riku kind of looks like an absol.]

Huh, that is pretty varied. And everyone but the Absol should evolve.

[At least, he's pretty sure Absols don't.]

It's okay. Absol was my starter.

[He shakes his head.]

Whoever decided that has a sense of humour. The pokémon which is supposed to bring disaster wherever it goes.
